Hand Guided Machine Quilting!
New photo's in the gallery   &   New patterns have been added!  Take a look!!
Hello, my name is Brenda Closson.  Ethel, my long-arm machine, and I have now been together for 5 years. It doesn't seem possible that this much time has gone by, as they say "time flies when you're having fun".

We still love what we are doing. Quilting is definitely my passion.

A lot has changed in 5 years. My business has grown and is no longer in our home. It now has it's own home right behind our house. It was taking over the house and I really think my husband, Tom, was worried about where he was going to sleep! Poor man. I have several more pantograph patterns and I am much more experienced in free hand design. I have customers from all over the United States and one from out of the country, which of course means I have many many more friends. (As you can see I am finally updating my site Marcia! Thanks for getting after me!)

This year I got to finally go to Paducah ,KY to the "big" quilt show.  What fun we had!!! My goal while I was there was to get my picture taken with my favorite quilter, Eleanor Burns, to hang in my shop.  It didn't work out because of her schedule but she invited my husband to be on stage with her portraying Teddy Roosevelt to promote her new book "Victory Quilts". I got plenty of pictures of them together, so guess who's picture is hanging in the shop?

Our family has also grown in 5 years. We now have a new member, Jack, our Maltese and eight grandchildren! Seven boys and one girl. I'll brag a little bit here about my granddaughter, Mikayla. She's nine years old and loves to sew! She is learning fusible web quilting. She's very smart and can do anything with a machine already!!! How about that! I'll have her on the long-arm by the time she's ten! The boys, of course, are wonderful too. They range in ages from 7 months to 14 years old. Tom and I raised girls so these boys have been fun to be around. Lots of worms, insects and Lego's.

I am also helping out in a new quilt shop in our area, Pinwheels. It's fun being around other quilters and all that fabric. Don't you just love FABRIC!!!!? If you need any e-mail us at blang01@verizon.net .

That's about it………………….'til next time………….See ya!

Brenda
